The dog sitting with her is not included in this auction. There are a lot of extra photos below. Please make sure to see them all. This auction is for a very rare Kestner doll with slightly opened mouth and molded square teeth. She is 20" (51cm) tall. She has a beautiful pale creamy bisque. I believe she is one of the earliest open mouth Kestner dolls made around 1888.She has a very pouty face just like a closed mouth pouty Kestner and her lips are very slightly open.As if the closed mouth Kestner opened her mouth, very shyly....her open mouth is very refined. Her original body is an unmarked early Kestner with straight wrists, just like closed mouth dolls. There is very little space in her mouth and her teeth are molded square cut teeth. They are not applied porcelain teeth. Her eyes are very round big brown eyes. Her eyebrows are light brown and her lips are painted very delicately. Her head is free from any chips or cracks. Her head is marked only "Germany 12", nothing else. There are surface mold lines that go along behind both ears. They are very minor factory flaws and are very common. Her eyes are original brown glass eyes. Very hard to see but there are very slight surface scratches on both of the glass eyes in the center where they rub the bisque when she opens and closes her eyes..These small scratches are very common among sleep eye dolls and they are not cracks. They look like small smudges on the surface of her glass eyes. They are very hard to see and I could not capture the scratches in the photos. You can only see them when you examine her eyes very closely. There are large portions of her eyelid wax missing on both eyes when she closes her eyes. Her bisque is very pale and crisp. She has her original plaster pate. Small pieces of the pate are still glued down onto her head (front side). The rest of the pate completely matches to that piece. Her wig is a very nice vintage human hair wig. Her hair is tied in back. You can change it if you wish and make some curls. Play around! Her body is original. It is very chunky like French bodies. Her left pinky is broken and reglued back. There is a crack on her right ring finger but that is just a crack and it has never been broken off. The crack is steady. There is some repair/repainting job that has been done on both knee joint areas and one of her joint areas on her upper right leg has repair/repaint.Her cute purple dress is made with antique or vintage fabric. She is wearing a slip and pantaloons. Her slip is longer than her dess so I am adjusting the length with ribbon around the waistline. Her shoes and socks are antique. Please see all the additional photos:When you click on the small photo below, you will jump to the Google Picasa Web Album page. You are looking at an 18" Heubach Koppeldorf doll. She is marked on the back of her neck 275 6/0X, Germany, Heubach Koppeldorf. The doll may or may not be in its original clothes and shoes. She is wearing a white cotton slip, and pantaloons. She wears thigh high knit stockings and tan tie shoes. She has a bisque head and kid skin body which is in excellent condition. Her joints work nicely without flaws. She was kept in a doll cabinet and is free from dirt, dust, or smells. She has a very soft mohair wig which is tied in two pigtails with pink ribbons. Based on some emails I received I wanted to provide some additional information. The Doll is 20" long. Someone said collectors would want to see photos of the doll without the clothing. I also noticed while taking a picture of her that paint on her eyelids is peeling. I plan to include the clothing which is a very old christening dress, it is very beautiful but quite fragile. Also I will be on vacation from July 10th to the 13th. I will try to check my mail but it might not be possible depending on wifi. I do not know anything about antique dolls. This was given to me by my grandfather and I just really don't have room for it. I would love for it to go to a collector who would love and appreciate it. That said here is a description of the doll. Beth Made by Simon Halbig Kammer and Reinhardt. Character baby. Bisque, china head, paper mache body, arms and legs, blond mohair wig, brown blown glass sleep eyes, open mouth, real old baby christening dress and bonnet Appraised at a value of $1400 in 1999 by Donna Curtin of Restoration Unlimited, 3009 W. Gennessee Street, Syracuse, NY 15219The doll's hair is coming loose and will need repaired, the clothing on the doll is old and starting to wear and tear, other than that it has all its arms and legs and no chips or breaks. I would make sure to wrap well and insure when sending to the winner of this auction. One person suggested I pack the inside of her head. I am not sure I know how to do that but I will be wrapping in bubble wrap or something similar to prevent any damage. This Doll is sold as is! She is not perfect but I believe she is very valuable.

This auction is for an antique bisque & composite 25” doll by SCHOENAU & HOFFMEISTER of Germany. The maker’s mark is on the back of her head- scroll down to see those photos after the description. She has brownglass paper weight eyes. that do function properly but will need some TLC as they do slip out of place at different angles. The head is hand painted on a bisque form and the body is composite with a strong wooden base form. The doll has articulated limbs for great movement and pose capabilities. However, her head does not seem to move. It may have at one time and may just be blocked, I don’t know and I didn’t want to chance damaging her. I believe her wig is made out of mohair, but I am not 100% sure. She will be a wonderful addition to any antique doll collection. This auction includes only this doll and nothing else.PLEASE SCROLL DOWN & SEE ALL THE PHOTOS, ALL 20 PHOTOS! Condition: EUC overall. However, please note that this is a very old doll and DOES show signs of wear/age and is being sold “AS IS”. There ARE some stains/chips/scuffs, etc. on her composite body. But, her bisque head seems to be intact, without chips/cracks- there is a scratch on the back of her head above the maker’s mark & there is glue residue on the head from the wig, also there seems to be a small white spot/scuff on her nose. The wig still has a fair amount of stiffness in the curls and the curls still has some bouce to them. The eyes do need some TLC as well. Please see ALL the photos. As far as I can tell she is all original, but you be the judge. Yes, I do combine shipping charges to SAVE YOU MONEY!I will be listing more great items in the coming days, please check back! Payment via PAYPAL within 2 days and no returns. Please feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sorry, No international bidders. I WILL NOT ship items outside the USA. THANK YOU! _gsrx_vers_577 (GS 6.7.5 (577))

DESCRIPTION:Okay folks, This is a cool item, A Vintage Bisque Doll of some sort,Please look close, it is 11" long and looks like the head has been painted white to look like a clown, marked on back of head as you see in the pictures. DRGM A.259M S.327.B not sure if the A.M means Armand Marseille or not..besides the paint the head looks good with no damage to speak of. the body looks strange, the upper parts of th arm seem to be wood and unnper parts of leg too, bottom parts look like composition..has damage on the body part around the neck back and has some glue on it..so not you know as much as I about it..hopefully the paint can be removed..Jointed and part of a bunch of old toys I pick up at a STorage unit auction..Seems like they collected mainly bear and Doll related items.so check out my other items I will be listing in the next few weeks.....
