Original Antique Kestner 12" Bisque Head Dome Baby Girl Doll from 1904 or 1905. Marked with J.D.K on the back of the neck. See photos. Originally owned by the mother of my neighbor who is in her 80's. This doll was given to the mother when she was 3 or 4-year-old which would have been 1904 or 1905. The mother was born in 1901. Features blue glass eyes that closes when the doll is laid down (sleepy eyes). Visible 2 bottom teeth with the open mouth (much desired by collectors). Bisque dome shape head. Painted hair & eye brows are perfect. There is a little baby head bump on the top of her head. I think number 10 on the nape of the neck indicates the mold number of this doll's head. Also the marking on the neck indicates porcelain, Made in Germany and J.D.K. Never left a family of my neighbor's (mother and daughter owned, only played by the mother) and kept very well in an old case/storage box which might have been an original box that the doll came in. See the below photos. Please check all 12 photos in the description page, it shows some wear on fingers and feet (where they will rub child's hand mostly not being covered with clothing), but nothing is noticeably broken and chipped. Based on the face and head of this doll, it was very much kept it in a box for last 40-50 years. This doll is much desired by Antique doll collectors due to her/his darling sweet facial expression as well as 2 lower teeth with an open mouth which is very rare in this condition and haven't been available ever in this condition and price range. Fine composition body (bent legs and arms) and Bisque head with painted hair. The mother (original owner whom passed away in 1960's) has given this doll to her daughter who's in her 80's now. The owner has brought this to Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland, CA. An appraiser has noted that the bonnet, undergarment and very long slip are most likely original as the daughter has been told by her mother a while back. The owner is not so sure about the nightgown and the diaper being the original garments. The nightgown looks like a communion dress which hangs below the feet (doll's natural height) and comes with a weaved pink ribbon the neck opening. The doll is gender neutral (could be boy or girl baby). Despite the big eyes, proportionally, the face and bodies are very much like the same size & dimension depicts a real-life anglo saxon or european baby. The box that the doll's been stored looks very old antique luggage like (comes with a latch and some traveling foreign country type labels (see the photos above url)). The doll will be shipped and sold with this box that the doll had been kept for last 80+ years at least. The doll is at least 102-104 year old. We couldn't verify if the box was the original despite it might be. Email me if you have any questions, I will check emails at least once a day. I will be also send you an url with all the photos of this doll that you could view further. If you need to see a close-up of any other part of it, please let me know. It will cost far too high to ship this safely anywhere in Europe. It turns out the insurance will be as high as $30-40 besides the shipping fee itself and the buyer from Europe will need to pay rather high custom tax based on the value of this doll. I'm an honest person and do my best for fast shipping & smooth transaction. See my 100% positive feedback. Expect the buyer would be the same. If you're new to Ebay, consider the proxy bid. Ebay will automatically bid for you upto the maximum amount you'd willing to pay for an item. Often than not, you might win for an item for less than what you'd like to pay for and you don't need to sit in front of a computer when the auction ends unless you bid with your smartphones which enable to bid while you're out and about.

16″ old antique bisque head leather German child doll for TLC

Up for adoption and "TLC" repair here is a 16" tall German girl doll. I do not know her past history and or what restorations were made, but will try to describe this doll the best I can. Incised on the back of her bisque shoulder head is Germany, "SP" something., see photo. Reference shows similar shoulder head dolls made in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Doll is a bisque shoulder head, hands with fingers intact with leather body. Body is very worn throughout but together intact, see photos. Looking at the bisque head I see a pencil type line crack on the right side of her head I have shown in photo, appears to be a surface line. There is a pate on her head, I lifted to look inside and see plaster cement that was used to secure the eyes remain open. She has a lovely face with open brown glass eyes, brown brows, painted lashes around the eyes, open mouth with upper teeth and blush on her cheeks. Paint rub on each cheek, there is a faint dimple in her chin. Wears long brunette wig with bangs that slips nicely over her head. Red plaid dress with lace accents is charming and clean, there are snaps down the back, she wear antique slip, pantaloons, replacement stockings and shoes. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos to serve as part of this description. If you would like further pictures or have any questions, concerns please email me. Offering to you AS IS condition shown with NO reserve auction. I do combine shipping cost and have many other "fabulous" old dolls posted. Serious bidders only please. Shipping cost in the US could be as high as $15.00 pending your location in the US, "For our International Friends" outside the US first class mail international with lots of wrap to protect the doll could be $35.00 & up.
