Doll Details: Here she is- what a darling little girl! This difficult to find Heubach 250 looks so sweet as a baby! She's a bit of a rarity- we've seen this 250 character face before, but only very, very rarely in this wee a size- she's a sweet little hold-in-your hand mignonette size! She's a gem- she has a very expressive face with very chubby cheeks and a surprised expression, so cute. Her sockethead, in this nice size, is quite finely and delicately modeled, with excellent painting and very thin singlestroke brown eyebrows. Her working sleep glass eyes are the originals, quite well matched, and a lovely shade of grey-blue; and she has painted upper and lower lashes. Red nostril and eye dots. She has bright pink cheek blush, (slight paint rub to one cheek) and well painted, slightly parted lips with red lip lines and tiny white baby teeth. Her original German composition body has nicely bent baby limbs, and she sits well. She wears a very full, later bobbed brown wig, a wee bit long for a baby but still sweet on her. Some dust and dirt to crevices as to be expected. Costume Details: Dress: Vintage handmade short lace and eyelet dress made from an antique remnant, with later added knit collar, very fine; some age staining; c1930s era Bonnet: vintage crochet bonnet with ribbon, c1940s era All in all, a lovely and rare little Heubach Koppelsdorf baby, all dressed up- but her feet must be cold, she needs booties! Kindly Take a Moment and Read This Before Bidding:Marionettejilly is not a big ol' corporation. We are actually pretty nice folks, with an interest in antiques, fighting upstream against inflation and the economy just like everyone else. In the rare event that there is a problem with an item, just sit back, take a deep breath, and tell us about it calmly. We have not set out to scam you. Chill. All the policies below are just because a couple of folks in the past decided to be meanies. We know you're not like that- we certainly aren't.Here at Marionettejilly, we try to be accurate with our descriptions- but we aren’t perfect, and we may have missed something that’s important to you-- so ask before an auction ends! We sell mostly vintage and antique items, with wear and the ravages of time as to be expected.Do not expect our vintage items to be in new or like new condition- many of our items are fragile, played with, and many are over 100 years old.AND---- many of our items have been in storage for years, so if you are allergic to dust, or sensitive to certain scents or smells, we do not recommend purchasing vintage items. Use your own good common sense, and expect an item to have a unique patina and history all its own- with imperfections inherent in antique pieces! Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5 pm, Eastern Standard Time. We cannot answer emails unless they come through the Ebay message system- this protects both parties. Emails received after these hours will be answered as promptly as is possible on the next business day. Please do not expect a response during the weekend- with any luck we are out doing something fun, far far away from the computer!Quick, Now! Read Our Refund Policy BEFORE You Bid:If you are unhappy with any item for any reason, it may of course be returned for a full refund of purchase price and original shipping within fourteen days of original shipping date, minus a standard 15% restocking fee, unless the item is one of the few we designate as a 'No Returns' item. Please note International returns are for purchase price only.We do not pay return shipping regardless of the reason for return.Forgive us if we sound somewhat exasperated at this point in time, but just so there is no possible misunderstanding of our policy, we repeat:We do not pay return shipping regardless of the reason for return.Ebay does not support buyers' requests for return shipping- please do not ask.PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT OFFER PARTIAL REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.There are no exceptions to this policy, and we will report unscrupulous buyers. Our shipping represents not only postage but also time, gas, packing materials, and, as of July 2011, the 7.5% Final Value Fee that Ebay charges to shipping. We do flat rate shipping so that buyers know in advance what shipping will be before a bid is placed; please be aware that we do not barter about shipping once an item has ended. We ship most items anywhere in the world, and yes, we will combine shipping on multiple wins. Sometimes people can be so petty and unreasonable it can break your heart. We've had a run of rather awful experiences this season- let's hope it ends soon, before we lose the rest of our hair, our jolly perspective on life in general, and our much-needed sense of humor!!!
